Groundhog Day, 2003. This is what we looked like after waking up at 3AM to drive in to Punxsutawney from our hotel in Clarion.
We went to Niagara Falls for Spring Break in 2003. Karianne's wearing a rainbow sweater, with a rainbow in the background, and that bridge behind her is called "Rainbow Bridge."
Spring Break 2003, Niagara Falls.
Karianne skips rocks at Lake Erie, also part of our Spring Break 2003 trip. One of the most peaceful places we've ever been to.
This begins a series of 3 pictures from Heshey Park. Here's a game where you have to toss a wuffle ball into a colored cylinder.
When it comes to carnival games, focus is everything.
Here's Karianne with the bear I won for her! She named it Hershey, of course.
Karianne and I rode the Lightning Racer ride at Hershey park 7 times in a row -- it was a blast! There's a part of the ride where you go through a tunnel and they take your picture, and after the ride you can buy the pic. Having been on the ride so many times in a row, you can see that we were getting a little bored toward the end.
Getting ready to watch fireworks at The Point (the place in Pittsburgh where the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers meet to form the Ohio). July 4, 2003.
Karianne worked for Just Ducky tours for a while, and this is one of their truck/boats.
At the Carnegie Science Center, I explain how weather works to Karianne. Riiiiiight.
CMU Graduation, May of 2004.
This is from shortly after I graduated from CMU -- the stress was off, so, um, things got a little silly. This is me with Jonathan Ward, whose leg I almost never touch.
Karianne and Kaethe get down with their bad selves.
